Joey’s Seafood Restaurants - PG
About This Spot
Stepping into Joey’s Seafood Restaurants in Prince George is like slipping into a beloved local tradition where the rhythm of the day slows down just enough to savor the familiar comforts of fresh, thoughtfully prepared seafood. The warmth here isn’t just from the friendly welcomes or the cozy, unpretentious charm of the space — it’s woven through the hum of regulars who gather like old friends, sharing stories and plates piled high with golden fish and hearty sides.
The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance: lively yet unhurried, where the buzz of a busy kitchen meets the steady flow of shared moments around well-loved tables. It feels like a place shaped by history and habit, where the menu is a respectful nod to classic seafood shanty fare and the carefully crafted specials invite you to pause and appreciate the ocean’s bounty in every bite. Whether you’re settling in for the all-you-can-eat fish and chips or venturing into something a little more adventurous like a seafood boil, each dish carries that unmistakable sense of comfort and community.
What makes Joey’s truly special is the way it embraces the ritual of dining — the lively greetings from staff who know their regulars by name, the ease of settling in with a cold beer to match the crispness of freshly fried fish, and the quiet pleasure of lingering over a deconstructed carrot cake jar that rounds out the meal. Locals come here not just for a meal but for a little piece of home, a familiar corner where the pace allows for genuine connection whether you’re sharing a laugh at the bar or a family dinner that stretches long into the evening.
It’s a spot that honors the small joys of eating well together, the kind of place where time slows just enough for you to appreciate the nuances — from the tang of fresh pico de gallo to the satisfying crunch of custom fries — all served with a side of warmth. Joey’s Seafood isn’t just a stop for good food; it’s a quietly cherished chapter in Prince George’s dining story, a spot where the heart of the community gathers around a table to celebrate the simple, honest pleasures of the sea.

We had the most amazing dinner tonight, our server Catherine, was amazing. She was popular with all the regulars. Our halibut was perfect, glad we followed all the great reviews. They were super busy and didn't skip a beat. Everyone was happy to wait for this amazing food. If you haven't tried this jem in PG, you're missing out!

This place was my grandmother's favorite. She would come on Tuesdays to have the all you could eat fish and chips. The prices have gone up over the years, but if you like fresh fish & chips or other seafood shanty favorites, then they have it. Years ago, they were also combined as a Tennessee Jack's restaurant that offered outstanding chicken, ribs & side dishes, unfortunately that's now history and sadly missed. Check out the daily specials and look for coupons as well. Come with an appetite on all you can eat fish night and enjoy.

The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Got the fish and shrimp plate with fries and coleslaw, and added the snowcrab. It was very good. $20 for half a crab is expensive, but if you have the money and can afford it I recommend it. I enjoyed everything and almost cleared my plate. If you have left overs, pop them in the air fryer to enjoy again later!
